Overview:

Sitting in the basement of the 90 year old Dominion Trust Building, the kitschy cafe defines the neighborhood that’s resuscitating itself, a yin-yang of things old and new. Some say the building’s haunted by the ghost of the architect who tumbled to his death down his ornate trapezoidal staircase. The cafe feeds the leading-edge artists and merchants in the area as well as hungry lawyers and architects. The prices are another throwback to easier time, but the kitchen is sharp enough to say panino instead of sandwich and mesclun mix instead of garden salad.
