Noisy, bright and full of energy plus it’s great value for money. It’s also a surprise. The restaurant is tucked away in the corner of a strip mall and once inside there is a casual and cheerful bistro style atmosphere exuding a multilayered quilt of rich and exotic smells. The decor is an eclectic mix of modern art, bicycles and buffalo-skull handlebars; the average age of customers is well below 40 and there’s an unavoidably energetic, New Yorkish feel about everything. If you want to try Indian with a bit of a twist, Sami’s uses Indian spices and western ingredients to come up with mouth watering combinations at reasonable prices. The place is always busy although seems calmer after 8 p.m.
