Caters to people who like to eat together, share their food and be surprised how little they’ve spent to be so pleasantly full. Good music (Verve jazz), simple decor (varnished wood tables, cane-seated chairs), a small wine and beer list (eight of each) and nothing on the menu over US$5.50 at lunch, US$6.50 at suppertime, including taxes. And if you still think vegetarian food is a plateful of lettuce leaves and some sawdusty imitations of meat, think again, because this vegetarian food will make you feed good about being proven wrong. Heavy garlic in some dishes but well worth the vampire fighting breath.
